Fine mountain views, especially from the balconies, provided a constant visual treat. The cozy lounge area, with its classic wooden decor, offered a perfect retreat to relax and unwind after a day of adventures.
The superior double room felt a touch cramped. Some guests might find the dining fan a bit noisy, which could disrupt the otherwise tranquil atmosphere during meals.

Gletschergarten is fine! The views are amazing, and the breakfast and dinner were fantastic. The owners are thoughtful. They even decorated our table for our anniversary and left us delicious chocolate. It was a personal touch.

The hotel has been in the family for 4 generations. The proprietors are very pleasant and helpful. Our room (#23) was spacious and charming. The view of the Wetterhorn from our balcony was pretty amazing too. We only ate breakfasts in the restaurant, but those were very good. The location of the hotel (on the upper end of Grindelwald) was great. It was quiet for sleeping, yet the shops & restaurants in town were readily accessible by walking (about a 4 minute walk). The hotel had plenty of parking too. All in all, a lovely place with really sweet hosts. We will go back!

The Italian flair at Gletschergarten's restaurant takes your taste buds on a wild ride! I feasted on authentic flavors. The fixed-price dinner was a culinary gem and totally worth it. Plus, the wraparound balcony offered fine mountain vistas while I savored my meal!

Thanks very much for a REALLY GREAT stay in the winter. The rooms are extremely spacious and absolutely spotless, the bar is nice. The breakfast is sumptuous, I really enjoyed it. It offers great location adjacent to the centre of town, train, bus and cable cars and in the midst of stunning mountainscape. Also, to get to a mountain cable car you'll need to walk 10 minutes.

Friendly and helpful hotel staff. Wonderful mountain view from the balcony.
Very old facilities. It was quite difficult to regulate hot water, when I turn water on for shower. Too thin curtains.

Gletschergarten provided an really good work-friendly environment. The staff was highly responsive, assisting with all my inquiries promptly. My room was spacious and well-decorated, with a comfortable bed and a newly renovated bathroom. The breakfast included a variety of freshly baked goods and local specialties. The hotel has a cozy lounge perfect for informal meetings.
The Wi-Fi was occasionally slow.
